Sauti Sol band vocalist Bien gives credit to 'marriage-like' therapies which have enabled the celebrated group to stay together for the last 20 years.
The band formed in the early 2000s consist of vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Savara Mudigi and guitarist Polycarp Otieno.
"Most musical groups have been put together by the music business, Sauti Sol is put up by friendship and as we grew older, we started attending therapies like married couples," - Bien
While other artists charge for collaborations on projects, Bien says Sauti Sol has never charged or paid to appear on joint releases.
"I hear so much of collaborations that are commercial, people paying for collaborations, but we have never paid for any collaborations. The people we have worked with value us as much as we value them," - Bien.
